The evening before
Rehearsal is over. The final instructions have been given. Last minute details are in order… and we’re free to go!
I’ve come to love the evening before an out-of-town wedding, when our only job after rehearsal is to check out the shooting location for the next morning and kill time. ![]()
Last weekend we had one of those fun ‘evenings before’ that I love so much. Roaming the gorgeous Mercersburg Academy campus as the sun set, finding the perfect spots for the wedding photos, and might I add spending quality time with my dear hubby and faithful assistant? ![]()
Wedding photography might be a lot of work, but good times like this make it even more rewarding and memorable.
And who wouldn’t be excited about a gorgeous location such as this one??!

My dear faithful assistant, husband, and friend whom I love very much! Posing countless times for me while I find good lighting is only part of his job-description.
But hey, I love all the handsome pictures I get of him this way!

always take time for some fun!

Yeah, you’d probably make some faces too if you had to pose as often as my hubby does.

Beautiful stone arches…Can we get our bride up here for a picture??

Most definitely! …And what fun it was!
…And now, back to editing those photos which were the whole reason we had the ‘evening before’ to start with. ![]()

Troy & Cherie:: soon to be…
…Mr. & Mrs!
Hello blog! I feel like I’ve been out of circulation for a long time; and it has been a long time.
A lot has happened since my last post… the two biggest, life-changing events being our wedding day *drumroll please*, and the passing of my dear Grandmother last Friday. To say that the last month has been full of changes is an understatement! Life is good; God has been so faithful, I love being married, and am so happy that my Grandma no longer has to suffer, but is dancing with the angels in heaven, and even though there will still be adjustments, and we’ll miss her alot, I’m so happy for her at the same time! (and that was one long run-on sentence!)
And now, a few pictures from a short and sweet engagement session a couple months ago.
Can we say a very handsome couple??
Troy and Cherie have been such a pleasure to get to know and work with, and I’m super excited about their wedding coming up in a few weeks!
