Troy & Cherie:: soon to be…
…Mr. & Mrs!
Hello blog! I feel like I’ve been out of circulation for a long time; and it has been a long time.
A lot has happened since my last post… the two biggest, life-changing events being our wedding day *drumroll please*, and the passing of my dear Grandmother last Friday. To say that the last month has been full of changes is an understatement! Life is good; God has been so faithful, I love being married, and am so happy that my Grandma no longer has to suffer, but is dancing with the angels in heaven, and even though there will still be adjustments, and we’ll miss her alot, I’m so happy for her at the same time! (and that was one long run-on sentence!)
And now, a few pictures from a short and sweet engagement session a couple months ago.
Can we say a very handsome couple??
Troy and Cherie have been such a pleasure to get to know and work with, and I’m super excited about their wedding coming up in a few weeks!
still.alive.yes.
To answer the question I’m often asked [in response to my assumed non-existence in the social world]- Yes, I am still alive! And doing well [most days] for that matter! ![]()
May 14th is coming right up [15 days to be exact!] and the past weeks have been a blur of remodeling our little house, photo sessions, details, work, making memories, dealing with my Grandma’s illness and declining health, and taking in the roller coaster of emotions that comes with this season of life!
Funny how I had an idealistic idea of what the last weeks would be like before my wedding- of course in my idealistic mind everything was serene, with lots of good family times and making those last wonderful idealistic memories as a single woman. Ha! Welcome to real life, Trina!
Life throws us curve balls that we could never anticipate and really prepare for, but that’s ok. God has been so good and I’m blessed above and beyond what I would ever ask for or deserve! And we will still get married, whether we’re making serene or chaotic memories these last few weeks!
And I can’t resist a picture of US- very happy and ready to be married!!
(thanks to Althea for snapping the picture I’ve been waiting to take all winter!
